School Overview

Mamquam Elementary is a Kindergarten to grade 6 school located on the Traditional and Ancestral Unceded Territory of the Skwxwú7mesh People. The school was constructed in 1956 and we currently have around 300 students.

At Mamquam Elementary, we are a caring and inclusive school community  where every child is meant to feel safe, welcome, and like they belong. We value kindness, connection, and respect, and we work to create a school where students feel seen, supported, and celebrated for who they are. We know every child brings their own strengths, needs, experiences, and ways of learning, and we see that diversity as an important part of what makes our community strong.

Our Raven Values — Community Minded, Thinker, and Communicator — help guide how we learn and live together each day. They shape the way we care for one another, include others, solve problems, and build a strong sense of belonging across our school. At Mamquam, we recognize that students may listen, communicate, learn, and express themselves in different ways, and we are committed to creating an environment where those differences are respected and supported.

We are proud to be a school that values the whole child. Alongside learning, we focus on relationships, well-being, inclusion, and helping students grow in confidence and connection. We want Mamquam to be a place where students know they are valued, families feel welcomed, and everyone plays a part in creating a positive school community.
