The We Scare Hunger Event was a huge success at Mamquam this week. Our Grade 5 / 6 Leadership students with support from Ms. Schulz and Ms. Sollid inspired our school community to collect items for our local food bank. We heard so many stories of kids knocking on their neighbours doors and kids taking money from their own piggy bank to contribute to the food bank. We are so proud of our Mamquam community and each and every one of you.
The total number of items collected was 5,847 which weighed a total of 2,172lbs of food and we raised over $1500! Way to go Mamquam!
The class with the most items contributed was Ms Sollid’s grade 5 /6 class with 1, 816 items. Thank you to our community for supporting this years We Scare Hunger Event!
